The latest report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reveals significant changes in energy stock levels. Gasoline inventories decreased by 1.022 million barrels, surpassing the expected reduction of 938,000 barrels. Distillate inventories saw a drop of 3.155 million barrels, contrary to the anticipated increase of 120,000 barrels.
Additionally, Cushing crude oil inventories were reduced by 1.069 million barrels. The refinery utilization rate rose by 1.2 percentage points, exceeding the forecasted increase of 0.7 percentage points. Furthermore, daily crude oil imports fell by 215,000 barrels, while daily crude production increased by 20,000 barrels.
