  • HIVE Digital Technologies surpasses 8.3 EH/s Bitcoin hashrate, aiming for 25 EH/s by Q4 2025.
  • The company projects nearly $1 million in daily revenue by mining 10 Bitcoin per day at 18 EH/s.
  • Production costs are expected to decrease by 10-20% by autumn 2025 through increased efficiency and lower energy costs.

HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd. (HIVE, Financial), a global leader in digital infrastructure, has achieved a major milestone by surpassing an 8.3 Exahash per second (EH/s) Bitcoin mining hashrate. This achievement marks significant progress toward the company's ambitious target of 25 EH/s by the fourth quarter of 2025.

The company's growth is powered by its first 100 MW hydro-powered facility in Yguazu, Paraguay, which is fully operational. HIVE plans to achieve 11.5 EH/s by June 2025 and 18 EH/s by the third quarter, with orders for additional ASIC miners fully funded from its Bitcoin holdings.

With a projected hashrate of 18 EH/s, HIVE expects to mine approximately 10 Bitcoin per day. Given the current Bitcoin price of over $100,000, this could generate nearly $1 million in daily revenue. The strategic use of its Bitcoin treasury to purchase ASICs at $87,000 per BTC, maintaining an option to repurchase, enables HIVE to expand without diluting shareholder equity.

HIVE currently holds 610 BTC in its treasury and aims to reduce Bitcoin production costs by 10-20% through improvements in fleet efficiency, reaching 19 Joules/terahash (J/TH) by the end of summer 2025, alongside decreased energy costs from its hydro-powered operations in Paraguay.

The focus on green energy through hydroelectric facilities showcases HIVE's commitment to sustainable mining practices, potentially offering competitive advantages as regulatory scrutiny over the environmental impact of crypto mining intensifies.
