  • Skyharbour Resources (SYHBF, Financial) and Orano Canada to begin extensive drilling program at Preston Uranium Project in 2025.
  • The program targets approximately 6,000-7,000 meters of drilling across up to 28 holes.
  • Key target areas include Johnson Lake, Canoe Lake, and FSAN zones in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin.

Skyharbour Resources Ltd. (SYHBF) along with its joint-venture partner Orano Canada, is set to launch an ambitious diamond drilling initiative at the Preston Uranium Project, located in the western Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, Canada. The summer 2025 program aims to drill 6,000 to 7,000 meters across up to 28 holes, focusing on three main areas: Johnson Lake, Canoe Lake, and FSAN zones. Drilling will target depths between 200 to 350 meters.

Orano Canada, holding a 53.3% majority stake, will operate the program, while Skyharbour retains a minority interest of 25.6%. This drilling effort comes after Orano's comprehensive 2024 exploration activities, which included electromagnetic surveys, ground gravity surveys, and geochemical sampling. These previous surveys have helped identify high-priority exploration targets for the upcoming campaign.

Within the initiative, Johnson Lake will see drilling aimed at a structural corridor highlighted by airborne and ground-based surveys, testing ground conductors at complex intersections. Canoe Lake's area will assess nine conductive trends, and FSAN Zone will undergo reconnaissance and direct targeting strategies to evaluate discrete airborne EM anomalies and geochemical responses.

The Preston Project, spanning 49,635 hectares, benefits from its strategic location in an area known for significant uranium deposits such as the Arrow deposit and Triple R deposit. This extensive exploration program underscores the project's potential, further supported by its comprehensive geological database built through methodical, multi-phased exploration initiatives.

With Orano leading the operation, Skyharbour and other partners plan to capitalize on the promising groundwork laid by the 2024 exploration activities, setting the stage for potential new uranium discoveries in this prolific region.
