ADP (ADP, Financial), in collaboration with the American Heart Association, has launched an initiative to provide Hands-Only CPR training through its Mobile Solutions app. This effort is aimed at addressing the critical need for cardiac emergency preparedness in the workplace, where over 10,000 cardiac arrests occur annually in the U.S.
The program features a straightforward two-step learning process: users watch a 60-second Hands-Only CPR instructional video and complete a four-question assessment. Upon completion, participants receive a digital Nation of Lifesavers badge, recognizing their readiness to act in emergencies.
Since its pilot launch in Fall 2024, the mobile education initiative has seen participation from over 160,000 users, with the potential to expand its reach to the app's 14 million active monthly users. This digital training is complemented by in-person sessions. ADP is organizing over 100 Hands-Only CPR and AED training sessions at 18 office locations across the nation, scheduled to continue through early 2026.
According to Nancy Brown, CEO of the American Heart Association, the objective is to double the survival rate from sudden cardiac arrest by 2030. ADP's efforts align with this goal by providing essential lifesaving knowledge directly to millions of workers.
ADP's CEO Maria Black emphasizes the company's commitment to enhancing workplace wellness: "Every decision we make is centered on helping people thrive at work and in life." This initiative not only strengthens the chain of survival in workplaces but also demonstrates ADP's long-term commitment to corporate citizenship and social responsibility.
