JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (JKS), a leading global solar module manufacturer, achieved a significant milestone with the approval of its EAGLE® Preserve program by the Washington State Department of Ecology. The program, set to launch on July 1, 2025, marks Washington's first state-approved module stewardship initiative, designed to provide complimentary takeback-and-recycling services for end-of-life solar modules from commercial, industrial, and utility project sites.

This initiative aligns with Washington state law (RCW 70A.510.010), which mandates solar manufacturers selling within the state to implement environmentally responsible module recycling programs. The EAGLE® Preserve program will cover all modules sold in Washington after July 1, 2017, ensuring that components are disassembled and recycled responsibly. This approval positions JinkoSolar as a leader in solar module recycling within the state.

Other manufacturers may join the Stewardship Program once it begins, allowing them to offer similar no-cost recycling services to their clients. JinkoSolar's EAGLE® Preserve program enhances compliance and environmental responsibility, potentially attracting a broader customer base looking for sustainable solar solutions.
