StandardAero (SARO, Financial), a leading provider of aerospace engine aftermarket services, has announced the expansion of its service offerings for the CFM International LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines to include lease engines. This strategic move is set to benefit operators of Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft by providing short-term lease options to minimize aircraft downtime during maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) events.
In collaboration with some of the industry's top engine leasing companies, StandardAero aims to enhance operational efficiency and asset utilization for the global LEAP customer base. The company has already secured engine contracts, making them readily available for leasing to support worldwide operations.
StandardAero has established itself as a CFM LEAP Premier MRO provider, with its San Antonio facility offering both quick-turn and performance restoration shop visit services. The facility features specialized test cells calibrated for both LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Since signing the first non-airline CFM Branded Service Agreement (CBSA) in the Americas in March 2023, StandardAero continues to expand its capabilities and customer support services.
Additionally, through its Component Repair Services (CRS) segment, StandardAero has developed more than 300 component repairs for the LEAP family of engines. The company is committed to enhancing its workforce by expanding its team of LEAP technicians through an in-house Aviation Mechanic Training Program held at its San Antonio site’s Training Academy.
CFM International, a partnership between GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engines, is celebrated as the leading supplier of commercial aircraft engines, including the industry-standard LEAP engine family. StandardAero's participation in the upcoming CFM International Leasing Conference in Budapest further underscores its commitment to the leasing market and its strategic partnerships.
