Purepoint Uranium Group Inc. (PTU) announced the mobilization for its summer 2025 uranium drill program at the Dorado Project, located in the eastern Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan. The operation, a joint venture with IsoEnergy, is set to begin on May 26, 2025, targeting 5,400 meters of drilling across 18 holes.
The Dorado Project is noteworthy for its proximity to IsoEnergy's Hurricane Deposit, known as the world's highest-grade indicated uranium resource, containing 48.6 million pounds at 34.5% U?O?. This shared conductive package of graphitic rocks positions Dorado as a significant area for exploration within the uranium-rich Larocque Trend.
The initial focus of the drill campaign will be in the southern part of the project along the Q2 conductor. This area includes historic drill holes HL-50 and HL-76, which returned promising results. Hole HL-50 had an intersection yielding 2.3% U?O? over 0.6 meters, while hole HL-76 showed 0.65% U?O? over 0.1 meters.
In parallel, Purepoint is also finalizing results from its Smart Lake joint venture drill program, conducted with Cameco, with outcomes expected shortly. The company's robust exploration strategy aims to solidify its status as a leading explorer in the Athabasca Basin, a globally significant uranium district.
