ReposiTrak (TRAK), recognized as the world's largest food traceability and compliance network, has announced the inclusion of 40 seafood suppliers to its ReposiTrak Traceability Network® (RTN). This move is part of the company's strategy to help seafood suppliers meet stringent traceability requirements set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ahead of the 2028 deadline. These suppliers, notable for their sustainable practices and diverse offerings, will utilize ReposiTrak’s hardware-free platform to seamlessly manage the exchange of FDA-required Key Data Elements (KDEs) across their supply chains.
This expansion highlights ReposiTrak's commitment to providing an efficient solution for suppliers to navigate increasing regulatory and retailer demands. Randy Fields, the chairman and CEO of ReposiTrak, stated, “Seafood suppliers are not only facing FSMA 204 deadlines but also increased traceability demands from retailers.” With ReposiTrak's platform, companies can meet these requirements swiftly without incurring costs from system overhauls.
ReposiTrak’s cloud-based solutions, renowned for their operational control enhancements and brand protection capabilities, continue to attract a wide array of suppliers across different sectors. The latest addition of seafood suppliers is part of a broader effort to expand the network, which has recently seen the inclusion of grocery and nut butter product suppliers as well.
