The report highlights operational inefficiencies, with 46% of respondents spending more time maintaining tools than defending organizations, and 78% reporting dispersed and disconnected security tools.

Data breaches remain a critical issue, as 66% of organizations experienced such incidents in the past year. Security Operations Centers (SOCs) are facing substantial pressure, with 52% of teams feeling overworked and considering leaving the field due to mounting stress and unrealistic expectations.

Despite these challenges, 59% of organizations report improved efficiency from adopting AI, particularly in threat intelligence analysis (33%), querying security data (31%), and policy writing (29%). A unified security approach has shown promise, with 78% of organizations noting faster incident detection and 66% experiencing quicker remediation through improved information sharing.

The report underscores a critical need for connected security operations to address these challenges and enhance cybersecurity defenses. Organizations are increasingly integrating AI into their security workflows, with 56% prioritizing AI applications, although full trust in AI remains cautious.
