The integration of Descartes' cloud-based technology is set to transform ArrowXL's last-mile delivery operations, which manage over 2.6 million consumer deliveries annually using a fleet of 250 vehicles spread across seven main hubs.
The implementation aims to improve the efficiency and sustainability of ArrowXL’s extensive delivery service, which covers 98% of the UK six days a week. By automating planning processes, the solution optimizes vehicle usage and minimizes CO2 emissions, enhancing overall operational capability.
Descartes' technology provides real-time visibility of delivery capacity by interfacing with ArrowXL and client systems. It supports a range of delivery options, including next-day, nominated day, and diary booking appointments. Value-added services such as white goods installation, furniture assembly, and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling are also part of the offering.
