Summary:

  • Aduro Clean Technologies (ADUR) partners with Delphi for a phased Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
  • The assessment aims to evaluate the environmental impact of the Hydrochemolytic™ technology.
  • The study will adhere to ISO 14040 and 14044 frameworks for credible outcomes.

Aduro Clean Technologies (ADUR), a developer of innovative clean technologies, has engaged Delphi, a prominent Canadian sustainability consultancy, to conduct a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of its Hydrochemolytic™ technology. This technology is designed for waste plastic processing and aims to transform lower-value feedstocks into valuable resources.

The LCA will be conducted in several phases, starting with a screening-level assessment focused on greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption. This initial phase will utilize pre-pilot data, aligning with ISO 14040 and 14044 standards to provide foundational insights into the technology's environmental impact.

As further data becomes available from Aduro's Next Generation Process (NGP) pilot plant, currently under construction, the LCA will evolve to include a comprehensive analysis of all life cycle stages. The final phase will benchmark the Hydrochemolytic™ process against other chemical recycling methods.

According to Ofer Vicus, CEO of Aduro, the partnership with Delphi aims to deliver a transparent and data-driven evaluation of the environmental benefits and impacts of their technology. This strategic initiative is expected to support stakeholder engagement by offering credible, third-party reviewed environmental performance data.

Delphi, known for its extensive experience in sustainability consulting, will leverage its expertise to provide actionable insights and help Aduro align its operations with circular economy expectations. The LCA will also assist in identifying operational inefficiencies, ultimately enhancing resource efficiency and reducing costs.
