Nvidia's (NVDA, Financial) CEO, Jensen Huang, revealed that due to US export controls on AI chips, the company's market share in China has plummeted from 95% to 50%. In response, Chinese firms are developing their own AI chips to replace American products. Huang cautions that China's rapid technological progress could lead to American chipmakers losing their foothold in the Chinese market. If the US government maintains these restrictions, it risks losing its leadership in the AI chip sector.
