GCT Semiconductor Holding Inc. (GCTS), a prominent designer and supplier of semiconductor solutions, has joined forces with Giesecke+Devrient to launch a groundbreaking SGP.32 eSIM solution. This collaboration aims to revolutionize connectivity for multi-network IoT devices by integrating Integrated Profile Activation Device (IPAd) support directly into 4G and 5G chipsets.

The new eSIM solution enables intelligent, location-aware connectivity for headless IoT devices utilizing 4G and 5G networks. By eliminating the need for physical SIM swaps and user intervention, it provides out-of-the-box connectivity and flexible lifecycle management, ensuring optimal performance based on location, availability, cost, and policy.

SGP.32, the latest eSIM technical specification from GSMA, assures secure and interoperable IoT technologies globally. GCT will incorporate this advanced eSIM functionality into all future 4G and 5G chipsets and modules, further driving innovation and security in the IoT market.
