Musk highlighted Tesla's comprehensive capabilities to create and scale intelligent humanoid robots, asserting that Optimus's impact would be unmatched, potentially being ten times more significant than Tesla's second most impactful product. A newly released video showcases Optimus performing tasks such as trash disposal, using a vacuum cleaner, and basic assembly on a Tesla Model X production line, demonstrating its dexterity.
Optimus also makes learning advancements by observing human task execution videos, significantly speeding up its learning process. This method could reduce development time and costs, making it easier for robots to learn new skills without complex coding.
Musk remains confident about Tesla's future being deeply tied to both electric vehicles and robotic innovations. He anticipates that by year-end, Optimus will be operational in Tesla factories, signifying its crucial role in manufacturing.
