Wipro Limited (WIT, Financial), a prominent technology services and consulting company, has unveiled its "State of Cybersecurity Report 2025," highlighting the critical role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in addressing the challenges of evolving cyber threats and cost pressures. The report, which gathered insights from over 100 global cybersecurity leaders, underscores how AI-driven automation and cost management are central strategies for modern organizations.

The survey reveals that 30% of respondents identify investment in AI automation to enhance cybersecurity operations and reduce costs as a primary goal. Other prevalent strategies include tools rationalization (26%), security and risk management process optimization (23%), and operating model simplification (20%).

AI's role in threat management is further emphasized, with 31% of respondents leveraging AI for improved threat detection and response. Additionally, 24% are using AI to build enhanced incident response capabilities. Despite these advances, the implementation of Zero Trust security frameworks remains the top investment priority for 97% of the surveyed leaders.

AI offers a pathway to strengthen defenses while optimizing costs, enabling CISOs to focus on risk-adjusted returns on investments."

The report advises CISOs to collaborate with peers in securing proper data governance and establish comprehensive cybersecurity training for employees to capitalize on AI for organizational cyber resilience. These strategic moves aim to transform risks into opportunities and achieve a cyber-resilient future.
