  • RUA GOLD (NZAUF, Financial) reports significant high-grade gold intercepts at Cumberland, New Zealand.
  • Initial drill results include 14m at 3.4 g/t Au (including 1m at 26.9 g/t Au) and 3m at 6.3 g/t Au (including 1m at 16.2 g/t Au).

RUA GOLD (NZAUF) has announced encouraging initial drill results from its exploration efforts at the Cumberland gold camp, part of the Reefton Project in New Zealand. The first two drill holes, CUDDH001 and CUDDH002, have uncovered notable high-grade gold mineralization near the surface. Key intercepts include 14 meters at 3.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, with an exceptional 1 meter at 26.9 g/t gold, and an additional 3 meters at 6.3 g/t gold, including 1 meter at 16.2 g/t gold.

The drilling program, which commenced in April 2025, has validated targets identified through the AI-assisted VRIFY Mineral Discovery Platform. This technology has played a crucial role in pinpointing high-priority drilling sites, supporting efficient exploration efforts within the Cumberland gold camp's historic 2.2-kilometer mine corridor. The Gallant target, specifically, shows considerable promise with quartz veins extending some 200 meters south of the initial drill site.

Strategically located 3 kilometers south of the historically significant Globe-Progress Mine, which has produced over 1 million ounces of gold, the Cumberland gold camp benefits from its accessible road infrastructure, facilitating both exploration and potential development activities. RUA GOLD continues to systematically test the area, focusing on extending the known mineralization envelope.

CEO Robert Eckford stated that the significant, near-surface gold findings affirm the potential for economically viable gold production and validate the use of AI technology in modern mineral exploration. The ongoing drilling will further target identified quartz veins extending southward as part of the company's strategy to maximize the asset potential and develop efficient exploration methodologies.
