Diebold Nixdorf (DBD) has announced a strategic deployment of its DN Series® 500 cash recycler ATM with Qatar National Bank (QNB), marking the first implementation of this advanced technology in the Middle East. This collaboration introduces a dual-tower ATM system that supports up to 300-note and 30-check deposits per transaction, with built-in counterfeit detection mechanisms.

The DN Series® 500 features the RM4V recycling engine, which supports up to 13 different currency denominations across four types of cassettes, providing significant flexibility for international banking operations. Equipped with cutting-edge DN Vynamic® software, these ATMs deliver customized digital experiences, including interactive video capabilities and touchless transactions, in alignment with QNB's branding strategy.

This deployment is managed by Protech Solutions, Diebold Nixdorf's licensed partner in Qatar, emphasizing a strategic approach that leverages local expertise while maintaining technological control. The ATM units are further enhanced with a 19" touchscreen and multi-color privacy panels aimed at improving user interaction and privacy.

Adel Al-Malki, Senior Executive Vice President at QNB Group, highlighted the significance of this deployment in offering enhanced consumer banking services and aligning with the bank's innovation-driven vision. Meanwhile, Habib Hanna, Managing Director, Middle East at Diebold Nixdorf, expressed pride in partnering with a leading financial institution like QNB to redefine customer service through advanced branch automation solutions.
