Nvidia (NVDA, Financials) is partnering with Swedish companies including Ericsson and AstraZeneca to develop AI infrastructure in Sweden, as part of its broader global expansion. The announcement came Saturday as Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang praised U.S. President Donald Trump's re-industrialization policies, calling them “very visionary,” according to a May 24 report from Reuters.

The company will supply its latest-generation AI data center platform to the Swedish firms. This follows similar partnerships in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, after the Trump administration reversed export restrictions on AI chips that were introduced under former President Joe Biden.

Huang, speaking in Norrköping, Sweden, where he was receiving an honorary doctorate, said U.S. tech companies have lost about 50% of their market share in China over the past four years. He added that Trump wants American firms like Nvidia to compete globally, generate tax revenue, and reinvest in domestic manufacturing.

Huang supported Trump's goals of boosting manufacturing resilience and securing supply chains, calling them critical to American industrial competitiveness. Nvidia's ongoing expansion suggests the company sees long-term demand for AI infrastructure in both emerging and developed markets.
