Scorpio Gold Corporation (SRCRF) has announced the appointment of Leo Hathaway as its new Executive Technical Director and Board member. With over 30 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry, Hathaway is expected to bring significant expertise to the role.
Currently serving as Executive Chairman of Golden Shield Resources and Senior Vice President of Lumina Gold, Hathaway has a track record of successful mining ventures, including the sale and acquisition of Lumina Copper projects totaling $1.65 billion. He played a crucial role in the $1.5 billion sale of Ventana Gold's La Bodega project and contributed to Lumina Gold's 20.5Moz Cangrejos gold project in Ecuador.
Scorpio Gold's CEO, Zayn Kalyan, emphasized that Hathaway's appointment supports the company's exploration-focused growth strategy.
