  • Glenstar Minerals (GSTRF, Financial) completes first successful drill program at Green Monster property in Nevada ahead of schedule and under budget.
  • Significant discoveries include oxide and sulfide mineralization as well as 35 feet of dolomite veining with sulfide mineralization.
  • Assay results from the drill program are pending, while previous sampling showed promising high-grade mineralization of nickel, copper, cobalt, and zinc.

Glenstar Minerals Inc. (GSTRF), a mineral exploration company, has announced the completion of its initial drill program on the Green Monster nickel-copper-cobalt property located in Clark County, Nevada. This program marks the first-ever drilling conducted on the property's 35 federal lode claims, covering approximately 700 acres. The drill program concluded both under budget and ahead of schedule, demonstrating operational efficiency.

The drill program, conducted by Midnight Sun Drilling Inc. using its Grasshopper reverse circulation drill rig, tested five targets. Of particular note, hole GMST-4 uncovered an oxide and sulfide mineralized sequence from 150 to 300 feet down-hole, while hole GMST-5 intersected 35 feet of dolomite veining with fine-grained sulfide mineralization from 180 to 215 feet below the surface.

The Green Monster property, part of the larger 30-kilometer Green Monster Fault Zone, had previous sampling results in 2022 that indicated high-grade mineralization. Channel samples from the main shaft area revealed 3.77% copper, 3.06% nickel, 0.21% cobalt, and 6.83% zinc over 1.18 meters. The samples collected during this drill program have been sent for assaying, with results anticipated to provide further insights into the property's potential.

According to Robert Marvin, Glenstar's project geologist, the drill program yielded high-quality samples and operational excellence, eliminating the need for water-based drilling processes. This efficiency has provided significant cost savings in both site construction and reclamation.

Glenstar Minerals continues to focus on exploring and developing properties rich in critical minerals, with the Green Monster property being a promising candidate due to its significant nickel, copper, cobalt, and zinc anomalies.
