The report concludes that the project does not need a designation under the Environmental Assessment Act due to the adequacy of existing regulatory processes in addressing environmental concerns.
The evaluation of the Record Ridge project by the BC Mine Development Review Committee has been completed, and it has gained support from the Osoyoos Indian Band. West High Yield has provided extensive environmental data focusing on grassland ecosystems and the Mountain Holly Fern, while finalizing a comprehensive Vegetation Management Plan.
Stakeholders have until June 4, 2025, to provide feedback before the Draft Report is finalized and submitted to the appropriate Minister. This milestone reflects a significant advancement in the project's permitting process.
