C3 AI (AI), a leader in Enterprise AI application software, and Baker Hughes, a prominent energy technology company, have announced a multi-year renewal and expansion of their joint venture agreement. The partnership, which began in 2019, will now continue through June 2028. This extension reflects a commitment to advancing AI-driven transformation within the oil, gas, and chemical industries.

Since the inception of the joint venture, the collaboration has delivered Enterprise AI solutions to major industry players such as Shell, Eni, and ExxonMobil. These solutions have been instrumental in optimizing production, reducing unplanned downtime, and enhancing operational visibility for their clients, thereby driving efficiency and sustainability gains.

As part of the renewed agreement, C3 AI will persist in delivering Enterprise AI solutions for Baker Hughes' internal operations. Notably, Baker Hughes plans to expand its use of C3 AI's proprietary applications, including Sourcing Optimization, Inventory Optimization, and the Sustainability Suite.

Thomas M. Siebel, Chairman and CEO of C3 AI, emphasized the significance of this partnership, noting that it has substantially bolstered C3 AI’s credibility and market access in the global oil and gas sector, generating over half a billion dollars in revenue.

Lorenzo Simonelli, Chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes, reiterated C3 AI’s strategic importance in Baker Hughes' digital transformation journey, enabling safer, more sustainable, and productive operations through Enterprise AI integration across the energy and industrial value chains.
