Kadant Inc. (KAI) has announced securing significant orders worth $18 million for its wood processing systems from three major lumber producers situated in North America and Europe. These contracts, revealed following the company's Q1 earnings call, underscore Kadant's robust market demand and emphasize its leadership in the provision of advanced wood processing equipment.

The orders encompass a range of high-performance capital equipment designed for debarking, stranding, chipping, and batch feeding of whole logs and wastewood. This machinery will play a pivotal role in the production of oriented strand board (OSB) and dimensional lumber.

To optimize these wood processing operations, Kadant will integrate its smart technology systems. These systems are engineered to leverage key production data, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and productivity across the board. The delivery of this equipment is planned between the end of 2025 and the third quarter of 2026.
