Dynatrace (DT), a leader in AI-powered observability, has announced the general availability of its revolutionary Live Debugger, specifically designed for developers and enterprises. This innovative tool streamlines the debugging process across cloud and AI-native environments, providing real-time insights and accelerating problem-solving.

First introduced in January 2025, Live Debugger is the industry's first live debugging tool that can concurrently handle thousands of services in production environments without interrupting the running code. Early user Telus has reported remarkable efficiency gains, with debugging times reduced by up to 95%.

The Live Debugger is integral for enterprises using platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and RedHat OpenShift. It supports always-on instances and empowers developer self-service, ideal for complex cloud and AI-native applications.

Notable features include Instant Data Access, allowing critical code-level data retrieval without redeployment, and Non-Breaking Breakpoints, which enable comprehensive state inspection without disrupting execution. The tool's enterprise-scale capabilities allow it to debug thousands of workload instances in real time while maintaining minimal performance impact.

Adam Resnick, an IDC analyst, notes that the tool provides developers with the modern capabilities necessary to tackle production problems effectively. Dynatrace's Chief Product Officer, Steve Tack, highlights the strategic move to facilitate real-time debugging with non-breaking breakpoints, aiming to enhance productivity while safeguarding application performance.

This launch is part of Dynatrace Observability for Developers, a suite of solutions offering run-time insights and troubleshooting capabilities. The company is continuing to advance observability to help digital businesses transform complex ecosystems into assets.
