Ainos (NASDAQ: AIMD), a leader in AI-powered scent digitization, announced a significant milestone with its AI Nose platform, which has improved its accuracy to 85% in detecting excretion odors, up from 80%. This advancement is based on data from 254 participants in Japan and Taiwan, amounting to 2,119 valid data entries.

The AI Nose technology converts scents into digital Smell IDs using MEMS gas sensors and proprietary AI models backed by 13 years of accumulated scent data. This technology is pivotal for non-contact hygiene monitoring, particularly in long-term care settings, addressing the needs of aging populations in Japan and Taiwan.

Ainos plans a commercial rollout starting with pilot deployments in Japan in the second half of 2025, aiming for a broader expansion across the Asia-Pacific region by 2026. This timeline aligns with government initiatives like Japan's Society 5.0 and Taiwan's Long-Term Care 2.0.

Moreover, Ainos is collaborating with a leading Japanese service robotics company to integrate the AI Nose platform into autonomous robots, enhancing smart care infrastructures. This partnership positions Ainos to take advantage of the growing electronic nose market, which is expected to increase from $29.8 billion in 2025 to $76.5 billion by 2032 at a 14.4% CAGR.

The AI Nose platform's applications in elderly care include automated hygiene alerts, early detection of incontinence, workflow optimization to reduce caregiver fatigue, and early intervention to prevent skin injuries and infections.
