EdgeMode Inc. (OTC: EDGM) has strategically expanded its operations in the AI and high-performance computing (HPC) data center market with the acquisition of Synthesis Analytics Production Ltd. (SAPL), now renamed EdgeMode Europe. This acquisition involves a significant 95-megawatt power purchase agreement in Sweden, as well as a long-term lease for a data center facility, complemented by approximately 20,000 square meters of land earmarked for future expansion.
As part of the development plans, EdgeMode is constructing a 20-megawatt HPC facility in Marviken, Sweden, expected to deliver its initial power this quarter. There is also a second phase planned to add 75 megawatts, with potential for the site to scale up to more than 300 megawatts over the next five years. Additionally, EdgeMode has secured proprietary immersion cooling and heat exchange technologies as part of this acquisition.
The company's leadership team will see the addition of Dr. Niclas Adler, former CEO of SAPL, who joins as Chief Technology Officer and board director. Dr. Adler is poised to guide the technical operations as EdgeMode builds out its data center capabilities.
EdgeMode has successfully secured its first client, Cudo Ventures, and is in discussions with additional partners for the 20-megawatt capacity and future phases. This move comes amidst industry projections that the global AI data center market will grow significantly, from $14.3 billion in 2024 to approximately $157.3 billion by 2034, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27.1%.
