Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg announced plans to increase the monthly production of the 737 MAX from approximately 30 units to 47 by the end of the year. The company aims to raise production to 42 units per month by mid-year. Currently, the maximum monthly production capacity for the Boeing 737 is capped at 38 units, as mandated by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for 2024. This limit follows a recent air incident that prompted a renewed review of Boeing's safety and production quality protocols.
