The initiative, known as the Mobile Outreach for Value, Equity and Sustainability (MOVES) program, aims to provide preventative care and essential services directly to communities that need them most.
Grant recipients benefiting from this initiative include AltaMed, Community Medical Centers, Kaweah Health, and Vision y Compromiso. These organizations will deploy mobile clinics to offer preventative screenings, health education, and social services at community events and local parks, effectively overcoming common barriers to healthcare access such as transportation limitations and work-related constraints.
The $7.2 million investment is part of Health Net's larger effort to support Californian communities via over $158 million in funding from 2017 to 2024.
