Sun Life Financial Inc. (SLF), a leading international financial services organization, has announced the applicable dividend rates for its Class A Non-Cumulative Rate Reset Preferred Shares Series 8R and Class A Non-Cumulative Floating Rate Preferred Shares Series 9QR. This announcement affects shareholders who hold these specific types of shares.

For the Series 8R Shares, the dividend rate will be set at 4.230% per annum, translating to $0.264375 per share quarterly. This fixed rate will be effective from June 30, 2025, to June 30, 2030. The dividend is non-cumulative and will be paid quarterly, as declared by Sun Life's Board of Directors and subject to the Insurance Companies Act (Canada).

Meanwhile, the Series 9QR Shares will feature a floating rate dividend of 4.054% per annum, or $0.255458 per share, for the period from June 30, 2025, to September 30, 2025. This dividend rate is derived from the sum of the T-Bill Rate plus 1.41%, based on the actual number of days elapsed in the quarterly floating rate period.

Shareholders who wish to convert their Series 8R or Series 9QR shares must do so by 5:00 p.m. ET on June 16, 2025. It is advised that they communicate promptly with their broker or nominee to meet this deadline.
