Maxar Space Systems has secured a contract from EchoStar Corporation (SATS) to develop the EchoStar XXVI, a high-power geostationary communications satellite. Based on the Maxar 1300™ platform, the satellite aims to provide increased coverage and operational flexibility for DISH TV users across all 50 U.S. states, including Puerto Rico. This partnership continues a longstanding collaboration between the two companies, highlighting the reliability and innovation of Maxar's satellite solutions.

The EchoStar XXVI, engineered for dual orbital slot performance, is part of EchoStar’s strategy to deliver exceptional television service to its customers. "EchoStar is committed to delivering an unmatched experience with DISH TV," stated Gunter Kamper, SVP of DISH Technologies at EchoStar. This investment is intended to ensure continued high-capacity, direct-to-home services.

Delivery of the EchoStar XXVI satellite is slated for 2028. With over 95 geostationary satellites already in orbit, Maxar Space Systems further solidifies its position as a leader in satellite manufacturing, addressing the diverse needs of commercial and government clients. This continued partnership underscores Maxar's reputation for high-performance satellite platforms and ability to support evolving network demands.
