Qlik®, a prominent name in data integration and analytics, has unveiled new capabilities at the Snowflake Summit 2025 aimed at enhancing data handling for Snowflake Inc (SNOW) customers. The core development is the introduction of native support for Snowflake-managed Apache Iceberg™ tables, facilitating the creation of efficient, open-format data pipelines within Snowflake's governed environment.

This strategic enhancement promises to reduce data latency and optimize storage and compute efficiency, thereby accelerating the advancement of AI-powered applications. New features include the ability for Qlik Talend Cloud® to support continuous change data capture directly into Snowflake-managed Iceberg tables, ensuring low-latency data ingestion that meets stringent business service level agreements (SLAs).

Additional enhancements include Qlik Open Lakehouse Optimization, which automates data management tasks such as compactions and partitioning, resulting in quicker queries and a minimized storage footprint. Qlik's integration allows data products to be generated directly within Snowflake ecosystems, using the Qlik Talend Trust Score™ for enhanced data quality.

The launch of these capabilities, currently in private preview, is set for general availability in July 2025. The improvements are designed to help Snowflake customers maximize the value of their data investments by facilitating faster insights and enhanced AI capabilities.
