Cochlear Limited (CHEOY), a leader in implantable hearing solutions, has announced the commercial release of two innovative products: the Baha 7 Sound Processor and the Baha SoundBand. The Baha 7 Sound Processor distinguishes itself as the first bone conduction hearing device to incorporate Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast broadcast audio streaming capabilities. This device supports a fitting range of 55 db HL while maintaining a compact design, allowing direct audio streaming from both Apple and Android devices. Additionally, it offers seven color options, including a newly introduced lavender shade.
Meanwhile, the Baha SoundBand, part of the non-surgical Baha Start portfolio, presents an enhanced design featuring a slimmer band and improved adjustability. It also provides a broader range of color choices, specifically designed for children with hearing impairments.
These products are slated to be available in the United States by late summer 2025, alongside updated versions of the Baha Smart App and Baha Fitting Software 7, which are intended to enhance patient care and monitoring. This strategic release strengthens Cochlear's (CHEOY, Financial) commitment to improving hearing outcomes for individuals with conductive hearing loss, mixed hearing loss, and single-sided deafness (SSD).
