Viridien has launched the Sercel Accel, marking a revolutionary advancement in land seismic data acquisition technology. Introduced at the EAGE Annual Conference in Toulouse, France, Accel is the industry's first onshore drop node solution, designed to tackle the complexities of high-density seismic operations.

Accel eliminates traditional node burial, significantly reducing deployment time and labor costs by up to 30%. Its droppable design, compact size, and integrated smart portable system streamline logistics and improve field agility, while concurrently enhancing safety by lowering health, safety, and environmental risks.

Powered by the Sercel QuietSeis® MEMS sensor, recognized for excellence in data integrity, Accel integrates Pathfinder QC technology for near real-time quality control monitoring. This innovation ensures reliable node retrieval and sets a new benchmark for data quality in seismic surveys.

The Accel Solution Packs introduce a flexible and scalable approach to seismic data acquisition. These modular packs combine nodes, software, and services, allowing customization based on project duration, complexity, and strategic goals. This flexibility caters to a wide spectrum of operations, from initial exploration to extensive mega-crew projects.

Jerome Denigot, Head of Sensing & Monitoring at Viridien (VIRI), highlighted that Sercel Accel represents a bold leap forward in seismic data management, enhancing crew productivity and safety. The seamless integration of Accel with existing systems heralds a new era in land seismic acquisition, providing high-resolution data efficiently and reliably.
