- HashiCorp unveils major hybrid cloud expansion at HashiDays London 2025 conference.
- New integrations with IBM and Red Hat aim to enhance Infrastructure and Security Lifecycle Management.
- Only 20% of enterprises using cloud services achieve full ROI, presenting growth opportunities.
At the HashiDays London 2025 conference, HashiCorp, now an IBM company, announced significant expansions to its hybrid cloud operations. Integrations with IBM and Red Hat portfolios, including Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and OpenShift, were unveiled, along with support for the IBM Z Mainframe. These initiatives are part of HashiCorp's push towards enhancing Infrastructure Lifecycle Management (ILM) and Security Lifecycle Management (SLM), which aim to help organizations automate hybrid infrastructure delivery.
Key product announcements included Terraform ephemeral resources, HCP Waypoint actions, Vault Radar, and improved mainframe support. These developments came in response to IBM's projection that one billion new AI applications will emerge by 2028, necessitating greater cloud complexity management.
Highlighting successful deployments, HashiCorp shared the achievements of clients like Helvetia Insurance, which successfully migrated 200 applications to AWS and Azure using HashiCorp Terraform, and IG Group, which enhanced its security posture with HCP Vault. Despite the widespread adoption of cloud services, achieving full return on investment remains a challenge for most enterprises, with only 20% currently doing so.
As part of this strategic alignment, HashiCorp is set to capture significant opportunities from the anticipated surge in AI applications, targeting enterprises with complex hybrid environments that span from mainframes to public clouds.
