Braskem (B3: BRKM3, BRKM5, BRKM6; NYSE: BAK), the largest producer of polyolefins in the Americas, and Ardent Process Technologies have announced the successful conclusion of a joint development program aimed at revolutionizing olefin-paraffin separation processes. The new technology, Optiperm™, utilizes advanced membrane modules and promises to enhance the efficiency of polyolefin production.

The collaborative effort, which began in November 2020, involved thorough testing of the Optiperm™ technology within a pilot unit at Braskem's facilities. The technology showcased strong performance in terms of membrane efficiency, durability, and operational stability during the pilot phase.

Gus Hutras, Global Process Technology Director at Braskem, highlighted the success of the pilot and expressed enthusiasm about the commercial implementation of this breakthrough technology, which aligns with the company's vision of innovation and sustainability.
