Stem (STEM), a leading provider of AI-driven clean energy solutions, has announced its significant role in the development of the Green River Energy Center, one of the nation's largest solar-plus-storage projects currently under construction in Eastern Utah. The project, orchestrated by rPlus Energies, features a 400-megawatt (MW) solar installation alongside a 1,600-megawatt-hour (MWh) battery energy storage system.

As part of its engagement, Stem is contributing vital engineering advisory and design support to the project, including energy storage metering configuration and power flow scenario reviews. This involvement underscores the company's extensive experience in managing complex energy systems, evidenced by their oversight of over 1,000 battery energy storage system (BESS) sites.

With a financial backing of over $1 billion, the Green River Energy Center is set to deliver clean power to the Mountain West region, significantly bolstering the local economy through enhanced tax revenues and job creation. This initiative is anticipated to generate long-term employment opportunities within the energy sector in Emery County.

Jake Berlin, President of Professional Services at Stem, expressed the company's commitment to fostering innovation and accelerating the transition to clean energy, stating, "Stem is proud to leverage our expertise to advance large-scale renewable projects like the Green River Energy Center, partnering with rPlus Energies to achieve sustainable energy goals."

This collaboration aligns with Stem's strategic focus on integrating and optimizing energy resources, further cementing its position as a key player in the renewable energy industry.
