Snowflake (SNOW), a leader in the AI Data Cloud sector, has announced the release of the Standard Warehouse - Generation 2 at its annual Snowflake Summit 2025. This next-generation warehouse delivers 2.1x faster analytics performance, significantly boosting the capability for businesses to derive insights rapidly. Compared to Managed Spark, the Gen2 warehouses also offer 1.9x faster performance, catering to data-driven operational needs.

The summit also witnessed the unveiling of Snowflake Adaptive Compute, currently in private preview. This innovative service minimizes the overhead of resource management by intelligently managing resource sizing and allocation. Adaptive Warehouses, a feature of this service, promise enhanced performance without increasing costs, thus modernizing data management amidst the growing influence of AI.
