New Era Helium, Inc. (NEHC), a prominent exploration and production platform in the Permian Basin, has announced a key development in its strategic initiative to build a 250MW AI data center. The Texas Critical Data Centers, LLC (TCDC) joint venture has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PowerForward Energy Solutions to provide the necessary power infrastructure for the project in Ector County, Texas.

This joint venture between NEHC and Sharon AI, Inc. aims to capitalize on the growing demand for AI and cloud GPU infrastructure. Under the terms of the MOU, PowerForward Energy Solutions will manufacture, install, and operate 250MW of power generation assets at the TCDC site. The first 100MW is targeted for delivery within 12 months of securing funding, with full deployment expected within 18 months.

Recent shifts in New Era Helium's board have seen the resignation of Bill Flores, Phil Kornbluth, and Stan Borowiec. These changes are part of the company's broader strategy to expand beyond helium production to include natural gas and digital infrastructure. The company is actively searching for new board members whose expertise aligns with this strategic transformation.

In parallel with these developments, TCDC is advancing discussions to secure natural gas supply agreements and planning interconnections with regional grid partners. The collaboration with PowerForward Energy Solutions, a joint venture known for its expertise in distributed power solutions, marks a significant step in delivering low-cost, reliable power, essential for attracting top-tier partners and realizing the data center's full potential.

E. Will Gray II, CEO of New Era Helium Inc., emphasized the importance of these developments in positioning the company to deliver long-term value across multiple energy verticals. Meanwhile, Wolf Schubert, CEO of Sharon AI Inc., expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the project's ability to deliver substantial power capacity within a tight timeframe, offering a competitive solution to customers eager to deploy rapidly.
