- High-grade gold and silver mineralization discovered at T2 Metals' Sherridon VMS project.
- Notable copper-zinc intersection highlighted from the Q1 2025 drilling program.
- Exploration activities currently impacted by fire-related evacuation orders.
T2 Metals Corp (TWOSF, Financial) announced promising results from its Q1 2025 drilling program at the Sherridon VMS project in central western Manitoba. The drilling program, which completed four holes totaling 1,120 meters, targeted an 800-meter strike length. The standout discovery was from drillhole SHN25021, which intersected high-grade precious metal mineralization yielding 7.18 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold (Au) and 145.5 g/t of silver (Ag) over 0.72 meters. This new gold-rich zone represents a Snow Lake-style target that offers a new exploration opportunity distinct from traditional VMS deposits.
Additionally, drillhole SHN25022 recorded a notable intersection of copper and zinc, measuring 4.50 meters at 0.69% Cu and 0.56% Zn. The drilling program focused on previously untested airborne geophysical anomalies to uncover new mineralization potential.
The company noted that current exploration activities, including geophysical surveys such as down-hole electromagnetics and ground gravity surveys, are temporarily suspended due to fire-related evacuation orders in the area. Despite the challenges, these findings highlight the untapped opportunities available at the Sherridon project, prompting further exploration efforts once conditions stabilize.
