Veea Inc. (NASDAQ: VEEA), a leader in edge computing and AI platforms, has announced a strategic partnership with StarGroup, a prominent telecommunications provider in Mexico, to tackle digital inequality in the country's rural areas. This collaboration will see the nationwide deployment of Veea's virtual Trusted Broadband Access (vTBA) platform, which offers intelligent internet connectivity and IoT integration via VeeaHub devices and VeeaWare software.

The innovative solution, which utilizes satellite backhaul, aims to support diverse applications such as precision agriculture, energy monitoring, and public safety. StarGroup plans to leverage Veea's technology to provide cloud-managed entertainment and connectivity services, ensuring that remote communities gain access to digital services through Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

This partnership seeks to contribute to Mexico's national mission for universal internet access, fostering education, commerce, and innovation in previously underserved regions. With more than 34 million people in rural areas, the initiative presents significant market potential, aligning with government-backed digital transformation efforts.

Veea's CEO, Allen Salmasi, noted that the partnership goes beyond simply providing internet access. It empowers communities with real-time AI-driven applications, enabling localized processing and content caching at the network edge, thus allowing end-users to participate actively in the digital economy.

The initiative underscores Veea's commitment to expanding its market reach and creating multiple revenue streams through applications in IoT and cloud-managed services in collaboration with StarGroup, known for its expertise and leading position in Mexico's telecommunications market.
