Bloomberg has enhanced its alternative data capabilities by integrating Similarweb’s web traffic data into the Bloomberg Terminal via {ALTD}. This integration will expand the coverage to 3,000 public and private companies, offering near real-time insights into online traffic performance. The addition will complement existing data from Bloomberg Second Measure and Placer.ai, enabling investors to gain deeper insights and make more informed decisions.

Similarweb, recognized globally for its comprehensive web and app analytics, provides data sourced from over 200 million devices, 100 million websites, and 4 million apps worldwide. The data, now available on the Bloomberg Terminal, delivers granular, daily-level intelligence across 190 countries, available with a 7-day delay and 5 years of historical data.

Or Offer, Co-Founder and CEO of Similarweb (SMWB, Financial), emphasized the importance of digital data in the contemporary economy, noting that a company's online presence often indicates performance shifts before traditional metrics do. By partnering with Bloomberg, Similarweb aims to give investors a competitive edge in identifying trends and making informed investment choices.

Richard Lai, Bloomberg’s Global Head of Alternative Data, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting the value of empowering clients with faster and more predictive insights, especially in today's volatile markets. The integration allows Bloomberg Terminal users to utilize a powerful dataset to make timely and informed investment decisions.

The expansion of Bloomberg’s {ALTD} with Similarweb data also increases sector coverage in high-interest areas such as SaaS, e-commerce, AI, streaming, TMT, and healthcare. This strategic enhancement provides a multi-dimensional view of company performance and macroeconomic trends, granting investors a significant advantage in their analysis and decision-making processes.
