Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. (CBRL) announced its third-quarter fiscal 2025 financial results, showcasing a mixed performance with some notable improvements. Total revenue for the quarter reached $821.1 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 0.5%. This growth was primarily driven by a 1.0% increase in comparable store restaurant sales, although this was partially offset by a 3.8% decline in retail sales.

The company reported a GAAP net income of $12.6 million, or $0.56 per diluted share, marking a significant recovery from the previous year's net loss of $9.2 million. Adjusted earnings per share stood at $0.58, though this reflects a decrease from $0.88 in the same quarter last year.

Cracker Barrel's adjusted EBITDA reached $48.1 million, showing a modest increase of 0.4% from the prior year. As part of its future outlook, the company raised its adjusted EBITDA guidance for fiscal 2025 to a range of $215 million to $225 million, while maintaining its revenue forecast between $3.45 billion and $3.50 billion.

In line with its capital distribution strategy, Cracker Barrel's Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.25 per share, payable on August 13, 2025, to shareholders of record on July 18, 2025. The company also reported expectations of mid-2% inflation in commodity and wage costs, which is lower than previous predictions.

The company completed its planned expansion for the year with the opening of one new Cracker Barrel store and four new Maple Street Biscuit Company units, aligning with its cautious growth approach during this transition period.
