Kaplan, a global educational services provider, has been awarded the "Test Prep Innovation of the Year" title at the 7th annual EdTech Breakthrough Awards. This recognition comes for its groundbreaking All Access License™ program, developed in partnership with the State of Illinois. This initiative provides more than 200,000 students from Illinois' 12 public universities and five community colleges with free access to Kaplan's extensive test prep courses and professional skill development programs.

The comprehensive suite from Kaplan includes preparation for graduate-level admissions exams such as GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, NCLEX-RN, USMLE, Illinois State bar exam, real estate, and securities exams. Additionally, students can access courses on project management, data literacy, and critical thinking. Kaplan's program is particularly noteworthy for the financial relief it offers, saving students over $10 million in out-of-pocket costs, exceeding the original investment by the state.

Kaplan has consistently earned accolades for its direct collaboration with educational institutions, having been recognized in 2023 and 2024 for its partnerships with historically black colleges and universities like Xavier University of Louisiana, Howard University, and Spelman College. Kaplan's CEO, Gregory Marino, emphasized the company's dedication to fostering economic mobility and enabling career success for students through these partnerships.

Steve Johansson, managing director at EdTech Breakthrough, highlighted the impact of Kaplan's All Access License™, noting its ability to democratize test prep access in a cost-effective way that broadens support for student achievement. The EdTech Breakthrough Awards aim to honor excellence in educational technology by recognizing innovative and impactful solutions across the industry.

The company serves a diverse clientele, including 1.3 million students and professionals, 16,000 corporate clients, and over 2,700 educational institutions worldwide.
