Pearson (PSON.L), renowned for lifelong learning solutions, has unveiled insightful research on AI's role in education, revealing substantial engagement in higher-order thinking among students. An analysis involving 130,000 queries from 8,700 students using Pearson's AI tool in Campbell Biology indicated that one-third of student inputs involved applying, analyzing, and evaluating course material, aligning with Bloom's Taxonomy's higher cognitive levels.

In response to these findings, Pearson introduced the 'Go Deeper' feature within its AI study tools. This enhancement invites students to delve deeper into their studies by posing progressively complex follow-up questions based on their initial inquiries. The feature aims to foster critical thinking and is designed to transform straightforward questions into comprehensive learning experiences.

Expanding their AI initiatives, Pearson is integrating advanced AI across various educational sectors: automating administrative tasks for K-12 teachers, developing AI-powered tools for nursing education, producing curriculum-aligned English language lessons, and supporting higher education with research-backed AI tools. With over 80% of their products now digital or digitally enabled, this digital transformation reinforces Pearson's competitive edge in the edtech landscape.
