Jamf (JAMF), a leader in Apple device management and security, showcased their latest platform advancements at Jamf Nation Live. These updates focus on AI-driven management tools and enhanced security features designed to improve the deployment and management of Apple devices in enterprise settings.
The newly introduced AI Assistant, now in beta, includes two key capabilities: the search skill, enabling IT administrators to conduct natural language inventory queries for faster device identification and troubleshooting, and the explain skill, which simplifies complex configurations into clear language to aid decision-making processes.
Jamf also launched Blueprints, a feature aimed at simplifying device configuration by consolidating policies, profiles, and restrictions into a unified workflow. This facilitates easier and faster management of Apple fleets, enhancing organizational efficiency.
The Self Service+ portal has been updated to improve user autonomy and security, allowing end-users to handle app requests, updates, and security monitoring from a single interface. New identity management features also support actions like password changes and temporary admin access, enhancing user experience while maintaining security standards.
On the security front, Jamf introduced Compliance Benchmarks, now generally available, to automate workload compliance within Apple environments. Additionally, proactive malware detection has been integrated into App Installers, providing an extra layer of supply chain security.
Looking forward, Jamf plans to launch a network relay service to facilitate secure device onboarding, eliminating reliance on traditional VPN or ZTNA solutions and offering secure, seamless connectivity from day one.
