- Pending regulatory approval, the program focuses on de-risking the project to enhance resource delineation and strategic partnership opportunities.
Argyle Resources Corp. (ARLYF) has announced the start of the permitting process for a 2000-meter diamond drill program at its Clay Howells Rare Earth Element (REE) Project, located in northwestern Ontario. The company plans to twin six historic drill holes from past exploration campaigns in 2010 and 2011, subject to approval from the Ontario Ministry of Mines.
This drilling initiative is a strategic step to validate previous results and is pivotal in updating the project's National Instrument 43-101 (NI 43-101) compliant technical report. The update is intended to bring the Clay Howells REE Project's geological model up to current standards, thereby aiding Argyle Resources in its ongoing development strategies.
The historical drill holes had shown encouraging REE mineralization over significant widths, prompting Argyle Resources to verify these findings with fresh core samples. This will improve confidence in geological interpretations and guide further exploration across the broader project area.
Jeffrey Stevens, CEO of Argyle Resources, highlighted the potential of the Clay Howells Project for domestic exploration of rare earth elements in Ontario. He emphasized that the current drilling program is designed to mitigate risks and position the company for future resource delineation and strategic collaborations.
Argyle Resources is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, and focuses on acquiring and exploring natural resource properties across North America, with interests in various projects, including the Frenchvale Graphite Property and several silica projects in Quebec.
