Dan Ives, a well-known tech analyst and Managing Director at Wedbush Securities, has reiterated his optimistic outlook on Tesla (TSLA, Financial), despite recent tensions between Elon Musk and former U.S. President Donald Trump raising concerns about the company's future.

On social media, Ives expressed that the evolving relationship between Trump and Musk, from allies to frenemies, does not alter his positive view on the future of autonomous driving. He still anticipates that Trump will introduce a federal regulatory framework for autonomous vehicles in the U.S., something Musk has long advocated for.

Ives' comments come after a public spat on social media between Musk and Trump, where Musk criticized Trump's "beautiful big bill," leading to a significant drop in Tesla's market value, with a loss exceeding $152 billion last week.
