Freightos (CRGO), a leading digital freight booking platform, has announced an expanded partnership with Forward Air Corporation to enhance digital booking capabilities for less-than-truckload (LTL) and linehaul trucking services. This collaboration will be facilitated through the 7LFreight by WebCargo platform, a part of Freightos's service offerings.
The integration leverages Forward Air's comprehensive network, which spans nearly 11,000 lane pairs and over 100 facilities, covering 96% of U.S. ZIP codes. This expansion builds upon an existing relationship, now allowing freight forwarders to easily book door-to-door, airport-to-door, and door-to-airport services.
Future plans for the partnership include the addition of airport cartage services and digital payments, further streamlining first and last-mile transportation options. These enhancements are set to be initially available on 7LFreight and will later expand across Freightos's broader platform, including WebCargo, offering improved efficiency for international shipments.
This strategic move aligns with Freightos's goal to develop a one-stop digital infrastructure for global freight, enhancing its multimodal logistics capabilities. The partnership not only benefits Freightos and Forward Air but also strengthens the operational efficiency and transaction potential for hundreds of mutual freight forwarder customers.
Zvi Schreiber, CEO of Freightos, stated, "This expanded collaboration with Forward reflects our broader growth strategy of supporting more transaction types—air, ocean, and trucking—and more stages of each transaction, from price discovery to final-mile delivery."
