Co-operators, a prominent Canadian insurance and financial services provider, has completed a significant digital transformation by migrating its claims operations to the Guidewire Cloud Platform. This transition includes the implementation of the Guidewire ClaimCenter to modernize its property and casualty (P&C) claims management functions, thereby adapting to evolving market demands and enhancing value delivery to policyholders. The move also encompasses the company's subsidiary, Sovereign Insurance.

Since 2007, Co-operators has been a Guidewire (GWRE, Financial) customer and successfully migrated its PolicyCenter and BillingCenter to the Guidewire Cloud in 2023. With this recent ClaimCenter implementation, the majority of Co-operators' P&C operations are now integrated on the Guidewire InsuranceSuite, marking a substantial advancement in their tech infrastructure.

Harry Pickett, Executive Vice President and CIO of Co-operators, emphasized the collaborative effort between the P&C Business and Technology teams with Guidewire to accomplish this transition on schedule and with minimal disruption. According to Pickett, the comprehensive integration on the Guidewire Cloud Platform provides increased stability, security, and a robust foundation for future enhancements, enabling quicker adoption of new capabilities to benefit stakeholders.

Michael Mahoney, Guidewire's Head of Professional Services, expressed his appreciation for Co-operators' successful implementation, highlighting the collaborative effort in achieving such a transformational milestone. Guidewire Software, based in San Mateo, California, commands a strong presence in the P&C insurance market, serving over 570 insurance brands across 42 countries.
