  • Framework integrates post-quantum semiconductor technology with blockchain for secure robot management.
  • Already being implemented in critical sectors such as defense, agriculture, and healthcare.

SEALSQ Corp (LAES, Financial) and WISeKey have announced a groundbreaking quantum-resilient security framework aimed at securing the emerging generation of autonomous robotics. The collaboration effectively merges SEALSQ's post-quantum semiconductor technology with WISeKey's Root of Trust infrastructure, tackling the critical challenge of maintaining human oversight over autonomous robots.

Central to the framework are post-quantum chips that are engineered to resist the processing power of future quantum computers. These chips embed cryptographic protection directly into silicon, providing strong security assurances for robot identities and communications. By doing so, this innovative development ensures the integrity of autonomous machines operating in various environments.

WISeKey's Root of Trust system furthers this security by assigning unique blockchain-registered cryptographic identities to each robot, facilitating secure authentication and remote management throughout the machine's lifecycle. This integration assures that only trusted devices can operate, reducing the risk of unauthorized machine activities.

The security framework is not limited to terrestrial applications. The integration with Trusted IoT, drones, and the WISeSat satellite constellation enables a global trust grid, managing and securing robotic operations wherever they are deployed on Earth. This capability is essential in environments requiring robust oversight, such as defense, industrial automation, agriculture, and healthcare sectors.

By embedding post-quantum security and trusted identities into their core, SEALSQ and WISeKey ensure these autonomous systems remain controllable, trustworthy, and aligned with global cybersecurity standards. This initiative represents a significant step forward in the digital transformation of critical sectors and highlights the importance of resilient, ethical oversight in technological advancement.
